Friday, June 5 - This morning we started off with the Mt of Beatitudes and then we headed north to explore the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights.  After breakfast we visited

Caesarea Philippi where Peter gave his great confession of faith in the shadow of a heathen worship center.

Nest was a visit to Dan, where the Northern Kingdom of Israel worshiped a golden calf set up by Jeroboam,

It  also included a short walk to see a 4000 year old Canaanite gate that was there when Abraham entered the ancient town of Laish, which was captured by the tribe of Dan.

We  also had an opportunity to tour some for the Golan Heights  and saw the Valley of Tears, a monument to those who died in the Yom Kippur War.

We ended the day with a visit to Capernaum

and then returned to the kibbutz for dinner and our last overnight in the Galilee.  Time to pack.
